The StreetLife Hub at 29-31 Coney Street was the central venue for our exhibitions and events. It was home to The Common Room, York Centre for Print, our community piano, and exhibition and workshop spaces. Open six days a week, the venue was staffed by Hub Assistants ready to welcome residents and visitors.
Accessibility
The front doors have a flat threshold and are wide enough for easy access by wheelchairs and scooters, the floor is laminated and chairs are plentiful. A staircase with handrail is currently the only access to the lower ground floor.
Please note that Coney Street is pedestrianised with restrictions on vehicle access.
Facilities
There are no public toilets in the Hub but there are coffee shops in the vicinity and the nearest accessible toilets are at City Screen Picturehouse and Silver Street. At City Screen there a lift from the ground floor to the basement, and a Radar Key should be available from reception.
